PMP Agent is a program for your servers. This must be installed to all servers to monitor, and will be connected to the PMP Admin to send performance data.

1-2. PMP Agent

Agent can be installed to the Windows Vista, XP, 2000 Workstations and Servers. To install,

  • Log in as an administrator
  • Run Agent Setup

Note for Windows Vista

PMP Agent has limitations for getting CPU and network usage values in Vista depends on the UAC option.

UAC enabled:
CPU and network usage values are not available to obtain. Disk and memory usage values are available. (When the Agent is started for the first time, all performance data are available. However, in the second running, UAC blocks the CPU and network usage monitoring.)

UAC disabled:
All performance data can be obtained, monitored.

In addition, Agent can't be installed as a service in Vista.

Setup requires the IP address of Admin to communicate. If you are planning to install the Agent to several servers, edit Setup.ini for automatic IP address input.

Agent Setup

Server notes are optional for your reference in the Admin program.

Windows Firewall Settings

1-2-1. Compatibility check

Depending on the server's type, localized language, it is possible that Agent can't fetch specific performance data. Agent Setup displays available performance data in the screen.

Agent Compatibility

The disabled is not available to fetch/monitor.

Please see Note for Windows Vista.
