3. How to update (for existing customers)
1. Admin
- Compatibility (for Vista, NT4)
Now, PMP Admin is fully compatible with Vista. Once the administrator installs the Admin, administrator and standard user account can use the Admin without any problems with Vista.
From version 8.2.1, we do not support the Windows NT4 anymore. To get the Admin for Windows NT4, please contact us and we will provide the version 8.0.1.
- New visual notification - Blink
New notification method has been added.

In the Alert Settings, you can select 'Blink server data' option.
When Admin detects alerts, the server data line in the main window will be blinked. This provides quick identification which server is in alert than seeing alert message window.
- Data folder location change
In the previous version, all data files are located in the program's folder. This causes a privilege level issue depends on the running user account. So we moved the data file location to the All Users, Application Data folder. The actual folder location is,
Windows 2000, XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Eastbow Lab\PMP Admin
Windows Vista:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Eastbow Lab\PMP Admin
- Bug fix on Automatic Command Execution
From version 7.0.1, Automatic Command Execution was not properly executed. We identified the issue and fixed clearly.

2. Agent
- Compatibility (for Vista, NT4)
PMP Agent has limitations for getting CPU and network usage values in Vista depends on the UAC option.
UAC enabled:
CPU and network usage values are not available to obtain. Disk and memory usage values are available. (When the Agent is started for the first time, all performance data are available. However, in the second running, UAC blocks the CPU and network usage monitoring.)
UAC disabled:
All performance data can be obtained, monitored.
In addition, Agent can't be installed as a service in Vista.
From version 8.2.1, we do not support the Windows NT4 anymore. To get the Agent for Windows NT4, please contact us and we will provide the version 8.0.1.
- Usage value correction
Sometimes, network usage value exceeds 100% and this is displayed as 'N/A' in the previous version. In this case, proper alert monitoring is not available. So we adjust the value over 100% to 100%. However, if the value is over 300, it will not be adjusted to 100% and displayed as 'N/A'. This correction is applied to all performance values.
- Improved service running
In the previous version, if the Agent is installed as a service, sometimes system reboot, shutdown, log-off did not work properly. We identified and added service handler module to fix this issue.
- Automated service install/uninstall (Setup)
Now the Agent Setup includes automatic service install/start, uninstaller includes stop/uninstall Agent service for easy service installation/uninstallation. Administrator does not have to run Service Control Manager to manage Agent service manually.
- Data, program folder location change
In the previous version, Agent's data and program files are located in the Windows folder. This causes a privilege level issue depends on the running user account. Now you can install the Agent to the program's folder as you want. Data file location is changed to All Users, Application Data folder. The actual folder location is,
Windows 2000, XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Eastbow Lab\PMP Agent
Windows Vista:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Eastbow Lab\PMP Agent
When the Agent is installed as a start-up program, Agent will not cause the privilege level issue even if the standard or guest user account logged in.
