If you wish to use the new features completely, you need to update all SMP components.

- SMP Server
- SMP Console
- SMP Client

• Partitial Update

If the new features are not so critical and have difficulties updating all client PC, you may update administrative components only.

- SMP Server
- SMP Console

The old Clients are fully compatible with the new Server and Console. By updating the above components without client update, you can continue to use all previous features with new,

- Improved HTML report
- Improved user interfaces

You may install the new Client later if you have a new PC to be added in your network, or when you upgrade the Operating Systems of all PC.

• How to update SMP components

- SMP Server

• Confirm the current folder location of SMP Server first.
• Close currently running Server, uninstall it via Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. (The PC data will not be removed.)
• Install new Setup to the existing SMP Server folder.

- SMP Console

• Close currently running Console, uninstall it via Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.
• Install new Setup.

- SMP Client

• Uninstall via Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel or run SMPclientuninstall.exe at Start > Run.

  If the Client is running as a start-up program, uninstaller will activate the Client and you may close the Client and continue to uninstall.

  If the Client is running as a service,  stop 'SMPClientService' at the Service Control Manager (MMC) and continue to uninstall.

• Install new Setup.
